LITTLE MARLOW CRICKET CLUB
	Facilities Playing Facilities The picturesque ground is located in the centre of Little Marlow village (see http://www.littlemarlow.btinternet.co.uk for more village information) within a stone's throw from "The Queens Head" & "Kings Head" inns & local Manor House, once home to Spice Girl Mel "Scarey" B. We boast one of the most immaculate squares in the county (many would argue nationwide) thanks largely to the unsurpassed dedication & knowledge of our "part time" groundsman, Richard Tedham, known on the circuit, amongst other things, as Ted. Nets We currently have an outdoor, double net facility (artificial strip) for which club practise night is usually Wednesday evenings (18.00 onwards) during the summer months. Potential members are also welcome. During autumn, winter & spring (Nov - Apr) we commit to around 20 weeks of indoor net sessions at a private school which offers excellent facilities at a very reasonable weekly rate per head. These sessions take place on Sunday evenings (usually 18.00 - 19.00). In addition to the above, a group of club members annually arrange weekly indoor net sessions (Thursdays, Jan - Apr) at the Indoor School at Lords. This is a private arrangement, isolated from club affairs, but any interested parties would be welcome, subject to availability. Pavilion The pavilion complex includes a hall / tea room, changing rooms, ladies, gents & disabled toilet facilities & 3 showers in each changing room. The pavilion is a memorial to those villagers who gave their lives in the wars & is shared with a local playgroup & the changing facilities / showers, with a local soccer team. The building underwent a facelift during 2003, thanks largely to the efforts of the Parish Council in securing a grant from DEFRA with further contributions from the Council, Cricket Club, Football Club & Playgroup. Although the club has a pavilion, we are not privy to an on site bar or lounge facility & at present would prefer to conduct all post match socialising (occasionally pre-match) at one of the three local pubs - "Queens Head" , “Kings Head” or Crooked Billet”.
